15-Minute Air Fryer Wings with Pomegranate Glaze
These air fryer chicken wings take just 15 minutes to make from start to finish. They’re marinated in a sweet and tangy pomegranate molasses glaze and air fried until crispy and sticky on the outside, but juicy on the inside. The marinade uses pantry ingredients and requires virtually no effort! I no longer order takeout wings at home.

Air Fryer Meets Chicken Wings!
It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with my air fryer. In fact – I have many air fryer recipes that are regularly on rotation at my house, like my air fryer chicken kabobs, and my pomegranate drumsticks. So naturally, I had to make chicken wings.
The other not so big secret around here is my obsession with pomegranate molasses, a middle eastern ingredient I use in many dishes. It has a sweet and tangy flavour profile, and when cooked in the air fryer, it’ll make anything its slathered on extra sticky and delicious.
The air fryer is made for chicken wings. No extra oil is needed, since the wings are naturally fatty. The air circulation allows the wings to get nice and crispy, in a fraction of the time that it would take in an oven. The result is juicy, sticky wings in just 15 minutes.
TIP: If you want to make this recipe in a traditional oven, you can bake at 425F but it may take anywhere from 45 minutes up to an hour, flipping the wings every 10-15 minutes.
Ingredients You’ll Need to Make this Recipe

I tested this recipe many times before sharing this version. Partly because it was so quick to make, I didn’t mind making it over and over again. But also because I wanted to optimize the flavour of the marinade but make sure it had minimal prep.
I tried this recipe with fresh garlic instead of garlic powder, but because of the high temperature, the garlic will burn. My final test yielded the following very simple ingredients:
- Chicken wings: I buy them as full wings and simply cut them into the wingette and the drumette. The wing tip (the very ends) are saved for chicken stock. You can also ask your butcher to cut them for you.
- Pomegranate Molasses: The star ingredient, and the reason these wings are tangy and sticky. If you don’t have it, you can make homemade pomegranate molasses.
- Honey: A bit of sweetness is required to balance out the tartness of the pomegranate molasses. If you like your wings sweet, I would double this quantity.
- Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Salt and Chili Flakes: The garlic and onion powder give the marinade a bit more depth of flavour. The chili flakes can be adjusted to your liking; add more if you love spicy wings.
And that’s it!
How to Air Fry Chicken Wings
Start by combining the marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine.

The marinade may have little lumps from the ground spices but that’s fine.

Next, pour the marinade all over the chicken wings and mix well to ensure the wings are coated. If you have time, leave them to marinate for at least 15 minutes on the counter, or a few hours in the fridge.

Place the chicken wings in one single layer in the air fryer. Ensure they are spaced at least 1/2 an inch apart. For this recipe, you’ll have to make them in 2 batches.

Air fry at 400F for 8 minutes. Then, open the air fryer and flip the wings. Use whatever marinade is left at the bottom of the bowl and brush it over top the wings. Air fry for a further 2-3 minutes.
Remove and serve immediately while they’re still hot.

How to Serve Air Fryer Chicken Wings
I love these wings plain. I can eat them right out of the air fryer. But if you’re making them for a gathering as part of an appetizer spread, I highly recommend serving them with my Tahini Ranch Dressing as a dipping sauce.
Another favourite sauce that I’ve tried them with is toum. But because it’s a bit strong, I usually mix a few tablespoons of toum with a few tablespoons of yogurt to mellow it out. Perfect for dunking!

15-Minute Air Fryer Wings with Pomegranate Glaze
Ingredients
- 720 g chicken wings
- 1/4 cup pomegranate molasses, 70g
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes
Instructions
- In a small bowl combine the pomegranate molasses, honey, salt, onion powder, garlic powder and chilli flakes. Mix well to combine into a glaze.
- Pat the chicken wings dry and place in a medium sized bowl. Pour the pomegranate glaze on top and mix well.
- Allow the chicken to marinate for 15 minutes or longer if you have time.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil before placing the chicken wings in a single layer, spaced at least 1/2 inch apart.
- Air fry at 400F for 8 minutes. Flip the chicken wings and use a brush to glaze the wings with any leftover marinade from the bottom of the bowl. Continue air frying for 3 more minutes.
- Remove the wings and serve with your favourite dipping sauce and veggies. I recommend toum for dipping!
Notes
- If you don’t have pomegranate molasses, you can try marinating the wings in BBQ sauce or any other sauce and air fry using the same directions.
- Flipping the wings and air frying for a further few minutes ensures all sides are crispy but its optional – the wings will great even if you don’t flip them!
