5-STAR READER REVIEW
“Ok, I admit it. I was a little sceptical, but I made these today. OMG- they are delicious- and so easy to make. Nobody would guess there are Ritz crackers in this recipe! I love them, and will be giving them as Christmas gifts.”

These Bars Are Magical!
These toffee bars are a childhood favorite of mine. I remember my mom making them for us every weekend for SO long. We were obsessed. And then I forgot about them completely and have just re-discovered them. Isn’t that the nicest feeling?
I had a dinner party I was preparing for and couldn’t be bothered thinking about desserts since my mains menu was elaborate. So I called up my mom and got her to remember every detail. It wasn’t too hard considering the 4 ingredients involved.
But that’s why I love these – almost no effort & they’re definitely a crowd pleaser. If you love sweet and salty desserts, these are for you.
Oh and if you’re also a huge fan of easy, minimal ingredient desserts, make sure you try Lazy Cake (it’s all in the name) as well as these delicious Biscuit Balls!
Tips for making the best Skor Ritz bars!
This recipe is SO easy, but there are two tips to keep in mind:
- The first of which is to make sure you break up your Ritz crackers well so that you don’t end up with big pieces. The smaller the pieces that more it’ll hold together.
- The other important tip is to make sure you take it out of the oven, allow it to cool for about 10 minutes, cut it into squares, then let it cool completely. If you wait longer than 10 minutes, it’ll be too hard to cut since the toffee will solidify. If you wait less than 10 minutes, it’ll be too soft and you won’t get nicely shaped squares.

4 Ingredient Toffee Bars (Skor Ritz Bars)
Ingredients
- 300 mL Sweetened condensed milk, equal to 1 can
- 300 g Skor toffee bits, equal to 1.5 packages of the Chipits brand
- 400 g Original Ritz crackers, equal to 2x 200g box
- 150 g Milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Start by crushing the Ritz crackers into a bowl using your hands. Crush well to ensure pieces are small, but don't crush them all into a powder.
- Add the condensed milk and the 200g of the Skor toffee bits (equal to 1 package) and mix very well to ensure everything is well coated
- Line an 8" square baking dish with parchment paper and pour the mixture in. Press down firmly to pack it in evenly around all the edges
- Bake at 350F for approximately 20-30 minutes until the toffee bits have melted and colour is golden.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. The chocolate should melt (if it doesn't, pop it into the oven for 1 minute and take it back out). Smooth it out into a layer using a spoon
- Sprinkle the rest of the skor bits on top and allow it to cool completely for 30 minutes. Cut into square pieces.
- Once cooled, separate pieces gently and store in an airtight container if using later
Notes
- The chocolate layer is optional – if you don’t have any feel free to skip it
- Store in an air tight container on the counter for up to a week

My family and friends love when I make these squares
I’m so glad your family and friends love them Laura! Thanks so much for your review 🙂
Ad in the middle of instruction a real pain, could not remove it so that I could read entire instruction. Wha t a Pain in the butt, you can do better!
Hello! I’m sorry you didn’t have the best experience due to the ads. I would love to remove them all together, but unfortunately its the only way I can continue to provide my readers with free recipes. One thing that may help, when you click “jump to recipe” and you get to the recipe card, you do have the option to click “Print”, it’s a magenta button. If you click it, you will see a no-ads PDF version of the recipe that you can also print out if you wish, free of charge. I hope this helps and hope you understand.
These were so delicious! I used heath toffee bits because I don’t have skor where I live and they were such a hit! Everyone loved them & I can’t wait to make them again!
So in pakistan, the big grocery stores should have heath toffee bits that you can find in bakery aisles . Foodpanda will be able to help!
Thanks so much for sharing!

Loved this recipe. I made it for a baby shower and I am making it again for Christmas!!
Amazing! It is so easy to make, I’m glad you liked it!
Can you break up a Skor bar for the recipe instead of the bits? I don’t think those are sold in the US.
Just made it and took it out of the oven. It smells so good. And so easy to make too. Alhamdulillah. Thanks so much for sharing
Perfect! Great to hear, you’re welcome!
Can you freeze them?
absolutely! Place them in a single layer, flash freeze, then put them in freezer bags.
These are yummy
Thanks Sharon!
Amazingly easy, addictively yummy!! I made it for Eid, was a hit with family and friends 👍😊
One question I had is, would evaporated milk (rather than sweetened condensed milk) have worked just as well, given all the sweetness from the toffee and chocolate?
Hi Dana! Evaporated milk won’t work, since it won’t act as a binder and doesn’t have that “sticky” quality of condensed milk. If you wanted it a tad less sweet, I would decrease the amount of toffee bits and condensed milk by just a bit, then taste the mixture and adjust!
Awesome and so easy. The only thing I did different is use a pastry knife to chop up the crackers
That’s a great idea!
It would be nice if the measurements were in cups not grams , and sleeves of ritz count
Salam this looks so yummy and easy just have a query i live in Pakistan here we don’t have toffee bits can you tell me how to substitute this pl
Hmm that will be a bit difficult. I’m not sure to be honest!
For people asking about if they can’t find toffee bits. If you buy a bag of bite size skor bars and freeze then smash them up in the bag with a rolling pin or meat tenderizer, it works just the same! It’s what I did this time since all my local stores were out of toffee bits ! This is my favourite holiday treat to make!
You can make homemade toffee bits. I know there is a good recipe on Handle the Heat website
That’s very helpful thank you Carol!
I’ve made this countless times already for my family. It’s such a quick dessert but so incredibly addicting. You can’t get an easier recipe with this quality of taste. This is a great one!
I’m so happy you enjoyed this Sabreen – it’s definitely a family favourite here too! 🙂
It is bonkers how easy (and delicious) this one is!!!!
